Trainee Jetter – Deeside & Wrexham

Our client is a leading independent waste management company operating throughout North England and Wales. They are registered waste carriers with the Environment Agency and offer recycling, treatment and disposal services for both non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.

Due to expansion they are looking to recruit a Trainee Jetter –  whose primary role will be to support the Environmental cleaning Team through Industrial Cleaning, HPW – High Pressure Jetter, CCTV observation and 2nd man to some of the bigger rigs and Vacuum Units.

The role would require some or all of the key skills when deemed competent dependent on the operator’s role on the job task allocated.

· Possess a clean driving license and able to drive a van under 7 Tonnes.

· To hold safety passport cards CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group) and/or/ CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) qualifications; ADVANTAGEOUS but training can be given

· To be qualified in Manual Handling techniques;

· Trained and Certified in the operating of a High Pressure Water Jetting Unit; ADVANTAGEOUS, BUT TRAINING CAN BE GIVEN

· Trained in City and Guilds Confined Space Working or in receipt of Awareness of Confined Space Working;  ADVANTAGEOUS, BUT TRAINING CAN BE GIVEN

Hours of work:-

  • Days- 06:00 am – 17:00pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Occasional Saturdays paid at premium

Can Include working on an ONCALL rota for which you would be highly remunerated:-

  1. £25 call out allowance Plus
    1. Pay at *1.25 (Monday to Friday) from the moment you leave your house to you return
    2. Pay at * 1.5 (Saturday) from the moment you leave your house to you return
    3. Pay at *2 (Sunday) from the moment you leave your house to you return

FLT Driver- Pivot or Bendi & Counterbalance licences


We are looking to recruit for our Deeside based client a series of Forklift truck driver’s with a valid Pivot (BENDI) and Counterbalance licence with RTITB recognition, Reach would be advantageous.

You will be responsible for

  • loading/unloading vehicles,
  • ensuring stock rotation of products,
  • checking customer delivery notes ensuring the right stock and products are received and stored in the correct location,
  • ensuring production is kept with the right parts within the right assembly area’s and maintained throughout the whole shift.
  • Computer experience is preferred though not essential as the stock movement will need to be recorded.

This role will be based primarily on a day shift 8:00am-4:30pm, but may also require some flexibility through busier times to work (6:00am-2:00pm) or (2:00pm-10:00pm.)

Our client is offering the role on a temp to perm basis and an interview with our client will be required before any role can be offered.

You must be able to drive, as you maybe required on occasion to Travel between sites, and this client requests that all FLT drivers hold valid driving licence.

You can also be required to work autonomously, so must have good skill level and ability to work on your own initiative.

Our multinational client based on the Deeside Industrial Estate have added 2 new lines late in 2018, and are looking to take on  an additional 10 new staff to join their busy manufacturing facility.

Following a continental shift pattern this will involve both days and nights with full and part time vacancies available.
You will be required to work 2 days and 2 nights, with extra shifts available on your days off if required.

****They are going to be interviewing and training staff over the next few weeks****

  • Previous packaging, manufacturing, warehousing, machine minding or QI background would be highly advantageous as will knowledge of manual handling and similar health and safety procedures.
  • You will be required to inspect products as they come off the line, and Bag them up for dispatch.
  • There is no heavy lifting, though the work is highly repetitive, but you are given 3 – 4 breaks a day.
  • This is a great environment where you are treated as part of the team, and given, uniform, safety equipment, locker, and it has a great canteen facilities through the day.
  • This role has the potential for being a long term position for the right candidate.

Our client is looking for an Operations Assistant / Transport Planner to be based out of their office in Deeside. The primary responsibility is to develop an efficient transportation route plan for store delivery orders, supports the Ops Manager, supervise team of clerical, operatives & drivers.

The Role:

  • Supports the Operations Manager by supervising a team of clerical, operatives & drivers
  • Ensures smooth running of the department
  • Parcel returns/redeliveries are tracked and/or caged or sorted/plead in relevant bays
  • Planning and determined of long and short term resource needs to meet the operational requirements
  • Maintains clear and effective communications
  • Recommends improvements to working practices
  • Supports the manager/DGM with the implementation of business changes
  • Promotes required changes & helps with shaping employee’s perceptions/ideas on how best service can be provided etc.
  • Working with customers/drivers and other traffic planners, planning routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure the smooth running of the operation
  • Prioritising workload, route planning driver brief and de-brief Strong organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads
  • Proactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slots
  • Ability to work flexibly and to make decisions quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
  • A good understanding of transport regulations currently in force

But maybe asked to cover on occasion.

Pivot / Bendi Driver – Chester & Ellesmere port

  • Computer experience is preferred though not essential as the stock movement will need to be recorded.

This role will be based on both days and rotating shifts,

  • Working hours are between 6am – 10pm Monday to Friday, working rotating shifts (6am – 2pm | 2pm – 10pm) and also days – 8am to 5pm

******  Although on occasion you may be required to work out of these hours, for which you will be paid a premium. ******

Multi Skilled Operator

Multi Skilled Operative. (Flint)


As a Multi Skilled Operator you would work with recyclable materials like plastics from grades 1 to 5 such as PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC and others from businesses.

If you care about environmental issues and have good customer service skills, this job could be ideal for you.

In this job you will need a polite manner. It is also ideal to be physically fit as you can be required to lift and carry heavy loads from time to time, operate machinery after training and potentially work in the warehouse.

Work activities

As a Multi Skilled Operative you could work as part of the collection team or as part of the team sorting and processing recyclable materials at the waste recycling plant. You may sometimes work on both teams.

Your job may include from time to time:

  • Operating machinery to process recyclable materials at the recycling site
  • sorting selects products and removing non-recyclable items
  • inspecting materials for any contamination
  • disassemble and break down larger recyclable products
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Potential general warehouse or packaging duties

Working hours and conditions

You would generally work an average of 42 hours a week, Monday to Sunday, working 4 on 4 off shift Rota, with possible overtime when required of your scheduled Rota system.


  • Days: £8.72p/h
    • Shift: 7am – 7pm


  • Nights: £9.08p/h
    • Shift: 7pm – 7am

Please note that this job can be physically demanding and can include yard work, which would be outdoors in all weather conditions.
